Ecomuseo Storia dell'alpinismo delle Valli di Lanzo

The ecomuseum "Storia dell'Alpinismo delle Valli di Lanzo" finds its place at the headquarters of the Italian Alpine Club of Lanzo Torinese. The new museum includes a collection of historical objects related to mountain sports practices: you can see skis of various ages, wooden snowshoes, rock climbing material, ice axes and many other objects, all united by the same spirit, the passion for the mountain environment in its various forms.

The objects have been placed in the common room of the CAI headquarters, visible entirely and freely to anyone who decides to enter.
The purpose of the ecomuseum is to create in our valleys a point of reference for the technical materials used over the years during sports activities of this type, as well as creating a historical memory that must not be lost.
The museum contains valuable collections of tools and materials used in past centuries for the conquest of the peaks of the Lanzo Valleys (Ciamarella, Bessanese, Uja di Mondrone, Levanne, Rocciamelone and the Torre d'Ovarda).
