Visitor Guide

In the Park, in every season of the year, you can admire different sceneries and enjoy many different activities. Late spring and summer are the blossoming months, autumn is the period of the deer's bell and the avenues that light up with colours, while in winter, paths remain easy to access, even though they are snow-covered, and you can admire the nearby mountains covered in white.

Entrance in the park is free, during opening hours and according to the procedures you will find in this section.

In order to discover this great territory, which has at its core the largest enclosed park in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, you need at least one day, or even better a stay of a couple of days, so as to take advantage of the many services offered, e.g. (guided excursionsVisitor CentresInner farmsteads) and visit the museum sites (the Palace and the Mandria Castle).

There are more than 40 km of paths open to the public (see map). Therefore, for a full visit, there are bicycles for hirehorses and carriages, and even a tourist train. A visit with the park guides, both during the day and in the evening, represents the ideal way to meet nature and learn about its delicate mechanisms, thus allowing yourself to be moved by environments still wild and normally closed to the public. For nature photographers, there are also some special observation huts.

Specific visits and environmental education projects are planned for school groups.

For those who love doing sport outdoor, La Mandria represents an ideal place, with long paths plunged into the greenery, measured circuits and many activity proposals.

In this section, you can find some useful information to arrange your visit to La Mandria, while the tourist office is available for any doubts, see you soon!
