The Church of Maria S.S. Ausiliatrice

The Church of Maria S.S. Ausiliatrice was built in 1895, after a series of enlargements of a small chapel already present on Monte Castello. The recurrences take place every year on April 26 and May 24, in the latter a procession is also celebrated, which originates from a vote issued by the Municipality and approved by the ecclesiastical authority in 1817, for the cessation of the storm that fell on the territory of Givoletto for nine consecutive years. The church was completed in 1905.
The building materials were brought to their destination by a Givoli inhabitants, who also worked in the moonlight when the time of day was missing. The money to cover the relevant expenses was given in the form of offers from pious people.
